The National Sleep Foundation (NSF) is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to improving public health and safety by achieving understanding of sleep and sleep disorders, and by supporting sleep-related education, research, and advocacy.
Established in 1990, NSF relies on voluntary contributions including grants from foundations, corporations, government agencies and other organizations to support our programs.
Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation
The Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of the millions of men, women, and children who are living with restless legs syndrome (RLS). The Foundation's mission is to increase awareness, improve treatments, and through research, find a cure for RLS. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization has accomplished a great deal despite its youth as an organization and the lack of public knowledge about this disorder.

American Academy of Sleep Medicine
Established in 1975 as the Association of Sleep Disorders Centers, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) is the only professional society that is dedicated exclusively to the medical subspecialty of sleep medicine. As the leading voice in the field of sleep medicine, the AASM sets standards and promotes excellence in health care, education and research.
The AASM membership consists of more than 7,000 physicians, researchers and other health care professionals. These members specialize in studying, diagnosing and treating disorders of sleep and daytime alertness such as insomnia, narcolepsy and obstructive sleep apnea.
